The ShadeFX Story. Peter Westgarth was always a tinkerer. Living in Guelph Ontario, he had a large deck that faced southwest and was unbearable to use in the summer. The deck was too big (16′ X 16′) to cover with an awning, so Peter set about making a custom canopy solution to his problem.

  1. Select a Canopy Fabric.
  2. Size the Canopy Fabric.
  3. Stitch the Canopy Fabric (Optional)
  4. Cut the Canopy Support Bars.
  5. Stain the Support Bars (Optional)
  6. Attach the Support Bars to the Canopy.
  7. Install the Eye Screws on the Pergola.
  8. Cut the Wire Rope.
