How do you get the smell out of a Yumbox?

We recommend drying it thoroughly and coating it with baking soda. Leave it open like that for a day or two. The baking soda may absorb the smells. In general, be sure to empty its contents each day, hand wash with warm soapy water and thoroughly dry your Yumbox before storing.

To prevent this always store Yumboxes open where possible, or closed only when they are fully dry. If your box has developed mould this can be removed by soaking in vinegar / bi carb of soda or milton sterilising tablets.
